Today I was reading Miss Zoot‘s blog, and she mentioned that she’d won $5000 for simply being the FRIEND of someone who’d won a prize at Blingo.com. You see, Zoot had referred the winner through a similar little green button – and when someone you refer signs up and wins a prize, -you- win the exact same prize!

What do you have to do to win these prizes, you ask? Just register with the site, and use the Blingo search engine when you are looking something up online! It’s not some freaky information stealing website. It’s a Google-powered search engine. It gives you the standard Google results. It’s FREE. And at random times throughout the day, it gives away prizes – from $10 to brand new cars. This month, the grand prize was the $5000 that Zoot won, but there are still prizes of $1000 – $3000 available. I finally got back into the swing of making some sigtags. Since Valentine’s Day is coming up, and I’m a member of some great tube & outline sites *thanks to my wonderful sisters Patience, Nickie and Sarah* I pulled out the PSP and started blending things together. Things have been really busy. I started working at Great Bend Health & Rehab back in August. Hard to believe I’ve been there almost 6 months already! And in doing so, I totally lost all my graphics mojo. But I have rediscovered the joy of PSP, and learned that there is this really INCREDIBLE thing called Digital Scrapbooking, which gives awesome awesome AWESOME graphics that you can use as long as you are not making a profit from your site. Which of course, I am not.

So you may see some changes over the next few days. I hope I will be around more often

I’ve been offline for quite some time now. And I’ve missed my online friends like crazy. After coming back I was talking with Patience, my wonderful sister, about the things on my ‘wishlist’. Imagine my surprise when yesterday, I opened my email to find that she has gifted me a lifetime membership to Kimicatts Kollectables!!!!! I was beyond floored, and absolutely excited!

November’s goodies have already started to pour in. I still can’t believe how lucky I am to have wonderful friends like I do! Thank you Patience!

I am leaving tomorrow at 2pm on a Greyhound bus to Detroit, MI. My dad will be picking me up in Detroit on Thursday *yes, 24 hours on a bus*, and then we’re going to London for 2 days (or there abouts) until my return bus leaves at 6pm on Saturday.

As of Monday, I will be legal with the INS and able to work again I’ve accepted a job at Great Bend Health & Rehab, a long-term care center here in town. I’m excited. I’m beyond excited. I can’t wait to go back to work.

Send me ‘happy travel, happy INS agent’ vibes. I’m a-gonna need ‘em ROFL

I’m not quite back. Yet. BUT I do have INCREDIBLE news!

I was offered not one, but TWO jobs today! Medical Express, the national staffing agency which has been working with me since January, finally received some glowing evaluations of me, and is ready to GO GO GO! And now, Banner Healthcare in Arizona called me back to talk to me, and they have offered me a job in one of their facilities in Mesa!

Now I just need to decide which company to go with, or keep both of them on hand!

I am so excited – things are finally going to turn around for us!

I checked in at the library today to see how my immigration paperwork from CGFNS is coming along. These people have been a thorn in my side for 4 months!

Imagine my surprise *and probably the surprise of the library staff as well, since I hollered and about started to cry* when I found out that my VisaScreen application has been approved and my certificate was mailed to my parents’ address in Canada TODAY!

Things are finally starting to turn around. This means I can also relax in thinking I may be under investigation with the Kansas State Board of Nursing, as my VisaScreen application wouldn’t have been approved if anything had been pending against me.

I’m so happy. So excited. Things are going to get back to normal. I know now that I would never make it as a stay at home wife. Nate never has to worry about that. Mebbe when I have kids, it will be different. But not without them…. I need to stay busy. The ‘clean the house, watch the pets, chat with the neighbors’ thing, it just won’t fly.

Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers over the past few months. You don’t know how important they have been to me

There’s been lots going on. We’re without electricity, we’re without hot water. Nate lost his job, and I went to the hospital with viral meningitis. We sold our old truck to pay some bills, I’ve been asking at churches for help with the electricity. I’m still waiting on my paperwork from the CGFNS to come – but they do say my file is ready for review now.

I’m sorry I haven’t been to all my regular hangouts lately. I do miss you all – not having you all to talk to has really made the days drag. BUT hopefully I will be back in action soon. Until then, please stick with me
